Come & join us as we sing songs, listen to Bible stories, learn memory verses & enjoy fellowship together for children 2 years – grade 6!  All children participate in our worship time at the beginning of the Sunday morning services..

Once the children are dismissed, the preschool aged children (2-4 yrs old) head downstairs to their classroom where they sing a few songs, celebrate birthdays, listen to the weekly Bible story, do some coloring or other related activities, then get to play in the toy room.  
 
The elementary children (kindergarten – grade 6) head into our “Upper Room” when they are dismissed from the service.  Once there, they are gathered in their “Large Group Time”, where they sing, recite the weekly memory verse, listen to a “teaser” for the Bible story and celebrate birthdays.  Once “Group Time” is done, the children get dismissed to their individual classes where they dive into the Bible story with discussions, work on their new memory verses and participate in activities that are related to the scripture.  
 
We are teaching our children the basics to grow their faith…. receiving Bibles when they are in kindergarten, verse memorization, learning the books of the Bible & service projects abroad!  We believe that these children are a vital part of our church growth!
 
These classes run 3 out of 4 Sundays a month from September until June.  On the 4th Sunday, all children will remain in the service with the option of using activity boxes provided.  
 
Summer months – we don’t have classes during the summer, but we will provide activity sheets for the younger children (preschool - grade 2).  We also plan a fun themed Sunday during the summer for Discovery Island.  Check the calender for the date & theme.
 
 Nursery Room (children under 2yrs old):  There is a room just off our sanctuary’s balcony provided with toys, crib, change table and a curtained off area for nursing mothers.  Parents are required to stay with their children when in this room.  There are sound speakers so that you may still enjoy the worship service.

Midweek Clubs
These programs run in partnership with Greendale MB Church

 Wednesdays,  7-8:30pm     September to mid March

Registrations are in September with a nominal fee required for each club

  Pioneer Girls is a Christian club program for girls in grade 2-6.  This program gives the girls opportunities to learn new skills, make friends, have fun and develop Christian values. 

Grades 2-3 girls meet at Greendale MB Church (6550 Sumas Prairie Rd.), grade 3-5 girls meet at here at First Mennonite Church Greendale and grade 6 girls meet at the Youth House beside the Greendale MB Church.  Click here for the Pioneer Girls Website.
 
 Christian Service Brigades is an outreach program for boys in grade 3-6. Our goal is to show the boys the love of Christ through games, outings, achievements and Bible lessons, so they will open their hearts to the Lord.  All of the boys meet in the Greendale MB Church.  Click here for the CSB website.
                                   
  

 Vacation BibleSchool
 
This fun-filled half day program runs for a week during the summer in partnership with Greendale MB Church (host site alternating between both churches).  Children going into Kindergarten up to entering grade 5 can come for a week full of enthusiastic singing, entertaining skits, thought-provoking Bible stories, interesting snacks and wild & crazy games!  Click here to see this year’s theme.
